A Harley-Davidson Softail Breakout FXSB is for sale, first registered in February 2016, with a very low mileage of only 6,000 km. The vehicle has undergone an exceptionally extensive and high-quality conversion, mainly with original Harley-Davidson accessories and add-on parts from renowned custom manufacturers, in particular Thunderbike. Parts of the conversion were carried out at a Harley-Davidson dealership.
A key highlight is the Thunderbike rear fender with integrated LED lights. The rear frame was professionally modified to accommodate the customized steel fender. The aluminum tank and leather-covered seat form a harmonious line extending to the rear, emphasizing the clean custom look.
The standard rear suspension with coil springs was replaced by Air Ride air suspension. This allows for continuous height adjustment of the rear and ensures maximum flexibility in terms of both appearance and driving dynamics.
The front telescopic fork was completely dismantled:
· Standing tubes (sliding tubes) DLC-coated (black)
· Diving tubes and triple clamps painted black
A set of Thunderbike rims replaces the standard wheels. The aluminum rims are painted in high-quality black/green and match the special paint job perfectly. The rear brake system has been moved to the left side of the vehicle behind the pulley—a complex conversion that required modifications to the swing arm.
The forward-mounted footrest system with perforated levers is also from Thunderbike, as are numerous other add-on parts.
In terms of performance, the engine was enlarged from 1,690 cm³ to 1,802 cm³ using a Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle Bolt-On Kit 110 cui. The conversion complies with the StVZO (German Road Traffic Licensing Regulations) and is duly entered in the vehicle documents.
The special paint job in “Green Viper” (Porsche color) and glossy black gives the bike an extremely individual look. In addition, numerous engine and add-on parts were painted black. A total of around 80 components were painted, requiring approximately 70 hours of work.
The investment costs for the conversion amount to approximately €33,000 (including parts and labor). The original price of the series vehicle was €21,245.
