Vehicle Description

This Porsche 911 SC Targa from January 1979 is an exceptionally well-maintained and comprehensively restored example of the coveted G model. This classic car is powered by the legendary 3.0-liter six-cylinder boxer engine with 132 kW (180 hp), combined with a 5-speed manual transmission, which provides the typical, purist Porsche driving experience.

The vehicle originally comes from the US state of Washington, as evidenced by the Vehicle Certificate of Ownership from 08/2000, and was imported to Germany in July 2014. The 911 SC has been owned by its current owner since 2015.

The total mileage of the vehicle is approximately 183,000 km. As part of the complete restoration carried out between August 2018 and February 2022, the engine and transmission were completely and professionally overhauled. Since the completion of the overhaul, the powertrain has only covered around 800 km, which means that the engine and transmission are technically in almost new condition. The current odometer reading of 814 km essentially documents the mileage since the overhaul.

Between August 2018 and February 2022, a complete, professionally documented restoration was carried out. The body was dry ice blasted, repainted, and sealed with high-quality sealant. The engine, brake system, and chassis were completely overhauled, so that the powertrain now has only around 800 km on the odometer since the overhaul. The interior was reupholstered with original Porsche leather and is in excellent condition.

The high-quality equipment includes electric windows, leather sports seats on the left and right, a Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 DAB car radio with windscreen antenna, two rear speakers and the original Fuchs rims. All original invoices for the restoration are available. A Porsche Certificate of Authenticity and a valuation report from 06/2023 with a condition rating of 2+ underline the quality of this vehicle. German registration documents, including H license plates, are also available.

Conclusion
This Porsche 911 SC Targa combines classic lines, high originality, and exceptionally good overall condition. The extensive and documented complete restoration, the revised engine with minimal mileage, and the coveted Targa variant make it a rare and stable classic. An ideal vehicle for collectors and enthusiasts who are looking for an authentic, ready-to-drive 911 with high standards of substance and care.
