The third generation of the ever-popular Alfa Romeo Spider has been nicknamed “aerodinamica”, it was built in this shape from 1982 till 1990. The black rubber spoilers at the front and rear of the car were very much a 1980s thing and gave the Spider after 16 years on the market a new lease of life, significally altering its appearance. Not everybody approved of the revamp, many even bought aftermarket body kits to have their Spiders look like the previous generation. What is on sale here is an original, untinkered 3rd generation Spider, with all its zeitgeisty 1980s features in place. The dark grey metallic paintwork suits the car very well, it is devoid of noteworthy scratches. The beige leather interior with its prominent and very fine wooden steering wheel likewise presents itself in a good condition regarding its age. Even the carpet – a Spider “problem area” – looks good on this specimen. A small crack in the dashboard needs to be mentioned, and the driver’s seat displays traces of use. The black convertible top looks good, as do the 14 ” Campagnolo rims. A typical 1980s cassette radio is on board as well.
This Spider has the 2.0 litre Twin Cam 4-cylinder engine installed, which produces 93 kW (127 hp) of power. The vehicle was delivered to Germany when new, it comes with German registration documents including historic plates and valid technical approval until 07/2017.
A recent Classic Data brief appraisal values this condition 3+ car at € 12,700.
