The Ford Granada was approaching to the upper middle class in the early 70s: A lush, luxurious and yet not too expensive limousine with massive appearance should teach the competition to fear. Available with 4- and he was 6-cylinder engines, the latter were highly praised for their refinement. In addition to the limousine there exists also the exceptionally spacious estate car, called “Turnier”.
The first series of the Ford Granada was 6 years on the market, when Ford classified the comparatively bombastic form as no longer appropriate. A thorough reworking gave the Granada clear, angular lines from 1977 on, as it became then the style of the 1980s. The engine range offered an abundant selection with 9 different machines from 54 to 160 hp. What today’s collectors benefit from: The engines are said to be extremely robust, virtually indestructible.
