This picture pretty Karmann Ghia coupé is a delight, with its unusual colour combination of blue body with white roof, matched by the white wall tyres and light leatherette interior.
Originally, the vehicle had been delivered to the US. Built in 1974, it is a very late model – production of these shapely cars was halted in the same year – and comes accordingly with the most powerful engine the factory had to offer for the Karmann Ghia, a 1.6 litre boxer with 35 kW (47 hp), mated with the tried-and-tested four-speed manual transmission as a matter of course. The engine makes a neat visual impression.
In general, the car looks very well maintained, inside and out. The front section displays traces of a previous accident damage. The gaps are somewhat uneven. The chrome bumpers, mirrors and the likewise chromed rear luggage rack are well preserved. The paint is in good condition and the interior has only slight wear. The sports steering wheel adds a special accent to the car, which comes with valid technical approval until 12/2018 and historic plates and is therefore ready for instant registration.
