Vehicle Description

This Mercedes Coupé 230 CE (123 series) is equipped with the 2.3 litre 4 cylinder motor, delivering 100 kW / 136 HP and unwarranted mileage is 158,000 km. 

The body has been repainted to the trim with Mercedes original colour 881 (“silberdistel metallic”). Rust was removed. 

The green fabric interior is in good condition, and the car is equipped with an original Becker radio, central locking, electric sunroof, electric antenna and a second exterior mirror. 

The vehicle comes with original manual, radio manual, historic plates and German MOT (TÜV) until October 2016. According to the appraisal, visible straightening and paint jobs were carried out. 

To put it in a nutshell: This is a well maintained vehicle, functioning flawlessly (according to the previous owner), and it is rolling like only a Mercedes does. 

The 123 models were the most successful cars Mercedes ever built. In 1980, the W123 even beat rival Volkswagen, having more registries than all-time winner VW Golf. Their long delivery time of up to three years had an interesting effect: Used cars did cost more than new ones. 

The coupé derived from the limousine and was presented in 1977. Its shorter wheelbase made it look more sturdy and sportive. All coupé models featured broad halogen headlights. 

For every 24 limousines, Mercedes produced only one coupé, which is why the C123 was very early considered an eligible classic. Its high production quality makes it a very reliable vehicle, even today. In Germany, Mercedes sold them with four or six cylinder petrol motors, while clients in the US could also choose additional diesel models.
