It is fiery red. It is a Porsche, and not just any – it is the 911 Targa, the epitome of a sports car for generations of people. This beautiful specimen was originally delivered to the US where it is said to have been in one ownership until 2010. After 52,000 mls with the original engine, this was replaced by a 3.0 litre SC engine, which delivers 132 kW (180 hp) of power, which had hitherto covered around 26,000 mls and reportedly runs very smooth. The previous owner kept this Porsche in an air-conditioned garage and only drove it in fair weather. The paintwork of this early G model Porsche 911 is in good condition, as is the leatherette interior and the popular Targa roof. The chromed Fuchs rims are devoid of noteworthy kerb damage.
The car has recently received a number of spare parts, including bonnet and boot struts, windscreen wiper arms, pump relay, generator, battery, brake pipes and windscreen. A Classic Data vehicle appraisal from 2013 estimated the market value of this Porsche 911 in condition 2 at EUR 33,500. In 2016, these “Eleven” have appreciated to EUR 44,500 according to Classic Data.

The second generation of the Porsche 911 (G model) came on the market in 1973 as a successor to the Porsche 911 (original model). It was a 2+2-seater sports car and available as coupé, convertible (as of 1983), Targa and Speedster.

The 911 was equipped with the following engines: 2.7 to 3.0 litre petrol engine (150-188 hp) and, for the Carrera version, 2.7 to 3.2 litre petrol engine (200-231 hp). The last Porsche 911 G-model rolled off the production line in 1989.
