The “Eleven” – the ultimate sports car icon
Our 1978 Porsche 911 SC Targa was recently re-imported from the US. With the classic colour combination black/black, it makes an elegant impression, even though the US re-painting of moderate quality and the rear window seal require attention.
The interior shows age-related traces of wear and tear, the black seats are in good condition. Power windows and radio are also on board. On the engine side, we find the well-known six-cylinder boxer providing 132 kW (180 hp). The unwarranted milage is 164,203 miles. The 911 comes on Fuchs wheels.
The vehicle has already got the historic plates, and german technical approval (TÜV) till 02/2017.
The second generation of the Porsche 911 (G model) came on the market in 1973 as a successor to the Porsche 911 (original model). It was a 2+2-seater sports car and available as coupé, convertible (as of 1983), Targa and Speedster.
The 911 was equipped with the following engines: 2.7 to 3.0 litre petrol engine (150-188 hp) and, for the Carrera version, 2.7 to 3.2 litre petrol engine (200-231 hp). The last Porsche 911 G-model rolled off the production line in 1989.
This car is almost a must in any good garage!
